Lockdown Day 28

here's a bit more on our Zoom meeting Sunday, which we will repeat again soon and hopefully you can join us. Once you get up to speed you can use it for your own Family & Friends and it won't cost you a penny.  You will see as people 'Joined' the Meeting it took some time to get the Computers/iPad/ Phones placed correctly with the cameras and getting some light in front of you rather than from behind.
Hard to believe that's a whole Month we have been locked-in and great that we've had so much sunshine.  The Audio can be a bit chaotic but the Meeting Organiser can control the Sounds by muting people.

We know a few tried & failed, but stick with it and we'll try to help you, we are are learning a new toy.  We'll try and find a day when the Captain can join us.

Thanks for yet more contributions, Mike has been out walking as the beautiful Bluebells take over the woodlands and very few will see then this Year.

The woods around Burridge

Stating a new feature for the Blog - "Name that Frame"

Can you name the smooth looking young man in these photos..our own Austin Powers.....

Edmundo sends us one from Italy which shows what happened in a quiet little street in the North when they announced the spaghetti shop was now open....

This next one, again perfectly true...shows a couple in Ilminster that learned to dance at home during the lockdown  ready for their 80th Birthday celebrations and recorded a practice in their front lounge....honest...

Richard puts things in perspective and I think we should send this to the Government..

Now this next one is another piece of Classical Music , or Opera but contains a few naughty words, so chose your audience carefully please....

Love the movement control being implemented over in Oak Drive...

Apparently, this secret film from Chequers shows our PM is making a very strong recovery and is just waiting for the daily deceased count to fall to 300/ Day before making a spectacular re-appearance...

We have a few more but will save them for tomorrow in case the supply dries up, Captain has also quite a few on WhatsApp.

OK, just one more to put you in a good mood for the day, what an example to us all....

I've just worked out how he does it....he's got their names on the bottom of the Bowls..now it makes sense !

Monday Update

Thank you for those that managed to join the Zoom Meeting Yesterday, we appreciate your efforts.

As expected we had a few teething troubles as 19 of you gradually joined the screen and we sorted out Audio, Video and viewing issues but this is all free and widely used over the UK. We learned a few lessons, like Keith being sat in a dark room with the Sun blazing in the window behind him and Mark appearing topless !!!   We could see Alan & Rosemary but don't think they heard anything.

We had lots of apologies from The Captain, Steve, Nick, Malcolm  etc - but if 93 Year-Old Vulnerable Vic can Log in & join us there is no excuse for any of you !!!!!

Next time you Family ask you if you can 'Video Conference' etc just reply that you are now on ZOOM and they will be impressed.

We'll do another one soon and THANK YOU for making the effort.

Now to correct an omission from Yesterday as we had a Birthday Boy !

Sir Clive Fisk hit 'Walking Sticks'   at age 77.

He got as lovely card from the Family...

John, it was my 77th birthday yesterday, whoever sent me this card was obviously familiar with my golf!

Keeping safe       Clive

now remember last week when we said he was the 'Love Child of Sir Clive Sinclair' for all his nutty inventions (remember the Red-Bull Race )
a previous offence !!!

Funny you refer to me as Sir Clive Sinclair’s love child.

In 1985, with a support team we set a world record by driving a Sinclair C5 from Marble Arch to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris in 19 hrs for charity.

No one else has been mad enough to do it again

Cheers      Clive

Clive aged just 42 Years Old and Val was only just 16.....

We love all this personal stuff, keep it coming....just like Roger with his 28 efforts devoted to his Wheel Barrow...

Hands-up who thinks he's bought a new one !
OK, time for some fun stuff...thanks again for the submissions.

Sorry to keep picking on Donald, as their Death toll passes 40,000 !

One from Vulnerable Vic, very amusing and a tad embarrassing...

Another about Sir Thomas Moore  ( Captain Tom)  from Edmundo

We may have shown this before, but You're Seniors so have probably forgotten !

and back to the fun stuff from Ed once more

Hi Golfers,

Sue and I are coping well. The garden has never looked so good with all the furniture painted, bbq well used and no problem with food supplies.

I do a weekly Tesco run for ourselves and a couple of elderly neighbours who live on their own. It's fun trying to push 2 trolleys around and putting produce in the right basket.

Apart from that I need to get fit!!!! Cant swing a club cause they're in my locker up at the club.

All the best and keep the blog going

Tony Church

and one last one for the Day, just for any Ladies that are watching and missing some of the compulsory training for young Butlins Redcoats.

Ready for this week's submissions - personal pictures, you when you were in your prime, wedding pictures - anything...
