First Day of Spring - Reverse Waltz 3,2,1

A very nice day indeed to play golf, however, the scores didn’t quite match the sunny day. The format of the day being a 3 ball format, We had two extras Roger Davis & Ken Trott played a 2 ball fun golf. Mark Cording who hadn’t missed a rollup day for as long as I can remember was absent and for a minute a few of those who are going on the Turkey golf journey thought that he had done a runner with the deposits he had collected. We saw Mark on the first tee later on going out as an extra. With the last group and after his tee shot, he joined the other two fun golfers on the fifth. Apparently, he fell sleep and the money was safe. In Mark we trust.

We had another day of dramas with the name cards. It is now 3 times in four weeks that name card hasn’t been put out and after the draw we have had unhappy golfers. So may I suggest that each person pulls his card out and places his money on his card rather than put his money on the table and rely on others to take his card out. This will resolve this particular problem.

Now back to golf. 10 teams of 3 took part in today’s reverse waltz. Surprisingly the scores were not as good as they have been in recent weeks. It is true that the game was played over 15 holes, none the less the winning score was only 3 under par.
