Hard to see how the Government's latest directive does not wipe-out playing Golf. We knew it was coming and we played it exactly right by keeping going until it was mandated so as to shorten the overall period.Golf England have confirmed All Courses must close, but certain Greenstaff may attend to carry out essential maintenance. Dear Members,
In the light of last night’s announcement we have followed government guidelines and closed the course with immediate effect.
Whilst of course this is very disappointing, the health of our members, staff and community are paramount at this point. Our greenkeeping staff will continue to maintain the course during this period so that we are in a position to reopen without additional delays when permitted.
Following the closure we are looking to offer a membership extension for the 2020-2021 year.
We will simply extend the membership year for a period equating to the length of any closure exceeding 2 weeks by moving the April 1st 2021 renewal date accordingly.
We wish to thank the many members who have already shown their support to the golf cub during this period by renewing and we ask that members continue to do so knowing that we will honour any period of closure as detailed above.
The Clubhouse and Pro Shop will be closed however the Office will be manned from 9am to 12pm Monday to Saturday to take membership payments over the phone.
Payment can be made over the phone on 01460 30231 Ext. 1.
Payment can also be made via BACS. Please ensure your FULL NAME is clearly quoted in the reference. Sort Code: 30-92-40 Account Number: 29102360.

Most never entered the building and went to tee to throw a ball into the selection bucket where teams of 3 were drawn - and it all seemed to work fine as The Captain takes Charge.

8 Earlies were out playing a 4BBB but Captain went for a 3-Ball Scramble with 6-Drives each...
18 temporaries with the Greenkeepers busy all over the Course - but with fresh mown temporaries they certainly made it challenging.

| ..but the Temporaries were in great condition and the 2nd, 11th, 13 and 16th proved particularly challenging if you were above the hole. |

| ..We couldn't resist a smile as Norman was Chief heckler on the 1st,,,then hit the Tree he is passing on the 2nd - Golf always has the final word !!! |

| ..but we didn't miss the Eagle 2 on the 5th hole thanks to a James Drive 20 yds short of the Green and modesty prevents us telling you who sunk the put.....Finished with score of 61.66 I believe. |
