New Rules yellow ball
Many Emails are flying around with suggestions and personal plans. I have heard from John Wandless who is going into hibernation and just seen terry Rutherford in Tesco's who is doing the same as he has underlying issues.
Tescos was not too bad and I got most of what I wanted, even toilet rolls. The staff are rushing around topping up shelves as fast as they can.

As you see, Seniors Interclub Matches are gradually being cancelled.
The Captain expects a statement from the Owners shortly, as with all venues of this nature, they have some big decisions to make, affecting lots of people up there that have become friends - Golf may not be the most important issue.
From what I have seen from Members, they seem to be in favour of a 'Roll-Up' but with no gathering in the Clubhouse. Just arrive at the Tee and form small groups to play.
I'm sure the Captain will make a decision soon, as he has to deal with us oldies, plus a lot more between 55 and 70 that are able to roam freely.
Personally I see no reason that we can't just roll up, add names to list on starter hut or in locker room and forget about the money for a while. Captain could still produce results. That gives us good separation and no touching of money or cards.
Qualifiers seem to be a poor idea as they would involve using/ touching the Computer and congregating.
I need the exercise and would really miss that chance to get out in the open air.
Monday 16th March 2 from 3 Stableford Yellow ball
Today we played the new yellow ball format for the first time. For future reference, this is how it works. Teams get two yellow balls. If they lose the first ball or hit it out of bounds, it is considered as lost. The 2nd yellow ball comes into play 3 holes later. So you can’t use the 2nd ball on that hole plus 2 further holes. By bringing back both yellow balls (in play) you get 5 points and by bringing back 1 ball, you get 2 points. We will soon have a folder with all the rules applying to our games so that we can all read them before teeing off. Chris Gingell is in charge of this and will be informing you all when the forms are ready.
A beautiful warmish sunny day that we thought we will not see any time soon saw 35 seniors turn up to play today’s yellow ball format. Chris Gingell and Terry Rutherford played the March Rolling stableford and had 37 and 38 points respectively. As regards to the main event, there were some really good scores and the runners up thought they were home & dry until the last team came in with an impressive score of 128 points plus 5 points for 2 returned yellow balls. Well played Roger Stone, Chris Ruddling and Paul England. There were Four 2’s by 3 teams earning £1.50 per player per 2

“From Wednesday March 18th, we will introduce dedicated time-in-store for over 65s and family carers.
“Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings up to 9am will now be a dedicated time for our senior citizens and family carers to have more space and a helping hand where needed.”
