Earlier today it was decided that
next Wednesday’s Qualifier medal was to be moved to the following week. This
was due to a heavy schedule of events for next week which meant some people
didn’t fancy playing 4 games in four days, hence reduced numbers. Having
checked with the Pro shop I was informed there will be course maintenance work
starting on 23rd . So the game will go ahead as scheduled and a new draw with 3 ball
rather than 4 ball will be posted on the blog.
On
another note, we have the mixed Greensomes event at the end of the months and
we are trying to raise some money for our respective charities. It will be
appreciated very much if you could donate prizes for the raffle being run on
the day.
30 Seniors attended today’s Charity Greensomes. I think
there were some deliberate attempts by various groups not to win the event and
in fact some conspiracy against me as I had pledged to double the money raised,
if I were to win the event. This is exactly what happened and to top it up,
surprisingly there were no 2’s either which loaded my contribution further. We
raised £75 for my charity doubled up to £150. Thank you all for your donations.
There were some strong groups which should have won the
event. Instead it was John MacOmish & myself that ended up with a net score
of 64 to top the table. Scores & results are as follows:
