Blind Medal - 27th December 2019

Blind Medal - 27th December 2019

Well I always thought a blind medal was an individual medal with pairs drawn out afterwards, but now it appears it is when you can't see the course you are playing.   Today was played over 15 holes and the foggy conditions could not stop Neil Cochran.   A fantastic combination of navigation and golfing skill but all his brilliance was fruitless, when Keith Branchflower an independent onlooker, drew Ron "where's the green" Sutherland as his blind partner.

There were two deuces both on the 16th, the shortest hole played and semi-blind.   Congratulations to Chris Hiam & Chris Gingell who earned their blind partners £1.50 each.

Hopefully the decent weather forecast for the scheduled Texas Scramble on  Monday 30 December, will yield a slightly larger field.     So get your new socks; tees; ball markers or if your loved ones were more generous clothes and clubs, packed in the car ready for the last roll-up of 2019.     You never know we might even see the Captain.
