4BBB & Fosseway "The Revenge"

Big THANK YOU from And Beale & John Pearce who were in a 2-ball as Andy dropped back from early Roll-Up and JKP had to get away early. We rapidly caught up with the 4-balls who all very graciously let us play through which allowed us to complete our round in exactly 3 hours. It only cost each group a couple of minutes to step aside but took almost an hour off of our round. I drove out of the gates at 12:07 after registering with the late roll-up and even beat Ron Sutherland who was rushing home to see if Linda had noticed his absence on  her Birthday.
Please note, Farmer Bob was playing as Roger Stone today due to being posted on the Antiques Roadshow 'most wanted' list.  Brian Marsh was playing with David Taylor but didn't want any publicity.

and a more normal Golfer over same period....

But who is this mystery Golfer ?
Tube of Prov1s for first correct answer

Won by Mike Hone who guessed
Ian Fielder who had managed to get down to 16 Handicap a couple of Years ago and was very handy.

..and the Revenge.....

Splendid warm sunny day for our home match against Fosseway Golf Club.
The course, following the recent rains, was is great condition and drew much praise from our visitors who thought the  greens were the best they had played on this year.

You will remember we lost away at Fosseway
last week by a 5 to 1 margin so it is pleasing to report we exactly reversed that result with a 5 to 1 win.

For the record:-

Derek Gardener won 2 & 1 ( accompanied by PSF who had a Mare!)

Chris Gingell/ Martyn Leigh won 7 & 6

Mark Cording/ Mike Hone won 1 up

Martin Bargery/ Lyndsey Gage won 5 & 3

Roger Davis/ Chris Rudling lost 5 & 3

Bryan Frost/ Richard Hall won 1 up.

Our good win was down to a couple of tight results which went the right way for our team especially

that of Brian and Richard who were three down on the fifteenth and won it on the eighteenth with a fine

closing par from Bryan. It's never over till it's over, terrific fight back.
