Friday 15th February
 Winter League Round 6

As anticipated we have cancelled the Mic Night due to a lack of numbers.

I have advised Alex to delete it off his schedule.

As per Clive's Email we could try to resurrect it under a different guise at a future date but I suspect it just does not appeal to enough members.

From Captain:-
A 'heads up' regarding our first Inter-Club match which is against Axe Cliff G.C. on

Wednesday 6th March. Kick off 11:30hrs. I shall put up the entry sheet this coming Monday.

For all our newer Members, these Matches are a great way to see 17 other Local Courses for the price of Dinner. They are a friendly 4BBB Matchplay and The High/Low Handicap combinations seem to work best, so everyone is welcome to append their name to the list. The 'Home' Club dictates the Dress Code for Dinner, which may involve Jacket & Club Tie. Players are also strongly encouraged to wear the CST Seniors Team Shirts as modelled by Richard..Pants Optional !!!

Hopefully you all have a copy of the Seniors 'Fixture Card' which details all of these Matches.

Regards All.  Peter.

From Alan Chance

Another outstanding day for winter golf  with temperatures moving into double figures.

Scoring overall being rather mixed considering the conditions . Congratulations must go to
Dave Mugridge + Richard Hall who clearly found them to their liking,  returning a fine knock of   44 points which not only made them overall winners on the day but moves them up to the top of the Winter League with a 2-point cushion  overall at this stage,  though there is still one more round to go WEDNESDAY 27th February and the lowest  score to  be dropped it makes things very competitive at the top of the table. The minor placing were keenly contested with six teams  on 40/41 points. John MacOmish scooped the 2's prize with the only one of the day on the 16th.   So as we move on to the last round, let's hope this weather lasts  for at least another couple of weeks.

See Winter League Pages for League Table & Round 7 Tee Times.

but to be fair he had just chipped in on the 5th for a birdie and dovetailed well with Neil Cochrane to be leaders in Clubhouse with 41..for a while anyway...as we walked off the 17th, with just 1 point for Mike I commented "That could cost you Money" and it did.

Barrie approaches 10th Green with steady 19 / 19 scores.

Bob was 2 behind after 12 holes
