There
were not so many players today. I can surmise that the Christmas festivities
have taken their toll, yet again a lot of people expressed how nice it was to
blow away the cobwebs and the sprouts. We had 31 people playing an individual
medal round which then was combined into a pairs competition by means of a
blind draw. Martin B. was drawn out last and was matched with a random blind card pick.
We
had a new member today, welcome to Charles Summers. Charles only this year
became eligible by way of age to join us, obviously word is filtering down to what we have to offer as a great section.
Of
the seven birdies recorded five were achieved by the first three groups again
confirming the strength of the early birds. Congratulations to Jim MacDonald
for the best nett score of the day at 67. What a pity he is not featuring
in the prize money but might well come to the attention of our Mr Martin! No
tittering please!
It's a good job there were plenty of witnesses as Jim with the lowest Nett was drawn out with the player with the Highest Gross.

As
pointed out to me the times for our usual roll up on Monday 31st of December
were not entered onto the website by the office and resulted in these
times being snapped up by others The Eggs have their names down and belatedly I
have secured seven tee times 09:22 and 09:38 to 10:18. Alex has intimated that
players following our slot may not show and ( possession is nine tenth of the
law ) we could squeeze a few extra times, The point is , if you wish to play in
the Texas Scramble this Monday, get there early bright eyed and bushy tailed.
The
full results of today's comp are listed below,
Peter
Spencer-Farr Seniors Captain.
