Wednesday 14th NovemberTexas
Terrific turnout today as the weather was set fair. The car park looked like Brands Hatch at 8:45am.
There were 12 early players and 42 later players and in addition 2 rolling stableforders. My thanks to Roger Davis who originally turned up to play early and then volunteered to play later in order to keep the numbers even.
There was slight confusion at the start because the chart board showed a Stableford comp when many thought in should be Medal. Not a problem really and the cries of impending doom were unfounded however I was amused to see that some of the early players did score it medal !
There were six two's today. Any two is worthy of mention but Roger Hinds two was an eagle. Having driven onto the bank at the back of the bunker in the middle of the fifth hole he promptly holed a wedge shot. Well done.
Turkey Trot on Friday, if in any doubt of start times please contact the proshop.

| Not bad for 85 years Eh !!!! |
..had to laugh as Inspector Ted was waiting to intercept the Captain about his Eagle 2 on the 5th. I found it ironic after the AGM and the discussion about 2's and birdies....
..in a birdie comp the 'Eagle 2' would have counted as 2 Birdies and paid double..but in this Comp it is simply marked up as a plain old 2 !
Danny wanted Colin Ireland to receive a special mention for sinking 2 outrageous putts on both the 1st and 2nd holes...30 or 40 feet I hear....and probably 90 feet down in Evershot.
as the sun shone eventually....
