15 Hole Texas Scramble
Great turn out today considering the dodgy weather forecast. In fact the weather men were spot on, chance of showers in the morning with more pissistent
rain and wind later. I got drenched running for the car. There were 40 players in the Texas Comp and two members doing a 18 hole rolling stableford. Our last team out were allowed to
compete as a four ball by only receiving a 1/10 th handicap allowance. Not sure if that was a fair situation for them. The top team of Stuart, Richard and Mark were run away winners
with the lowest score some four+ shots ahead of the pack. The prize money is distributed amongst the top four teams and the four two's achieved each paid £5 per team.
Virtually everyone then stayed on for the annual AGM in the Horizon Suite where Barrie Heath relinquished his captaincy year to a warm and appreciative applause.
Well done Barrie you have earned a well deserved rest.
