Roll-Up
Report 3-Ball Stableford (all to count) 05/11/2018
We had 15 early birds and 30 late starters today, after the steady
rain we had over the weekend, the course was in decent condition, especially
the greens for this time of year, although
I heard a lot of guys saying they had difficulties putting today.
Thanks to Richard Holmes for stepping aside today to make the
numbers right for a 3-ball, although
I think he has been playing a lot of golf lately, I think he may well have had
a yellow card from the boss at home.
I’d be interested to know how many teams did a second card today,
as a check, I know Danny and myself did and we had two query’s which we put
right, it’s so easy for anyone to make a mistake, so please remember this point
when playing 3 or 4 man teams, it does state on the monthly schedule with a
hash.
We are still looking for a few more names for the Xmas Cracker on
Friday 26th, as
we have 19 ladies to entertain, so come on don’t be shy, I won’t tell your wives.
To all those who attended the dinner on Friday, a big thank you,
good food, good company and plenty of
booze, plus £ 255 raised on the raffle for Pete’s charity, Guide Dogs for the
Blind.
We played a two’s comp today, which there were 4, with 3 coming
from the same team, paying £5.62 per
player,
David Taylor played
in the November Rolling Stableford today, he had 37pints,
in the November Rolling Stableford today, he had 37pints,

Geoff Dean is looking for an new electric Trolley - any you know of ?
Greenkeepers are looking for a few sheets of corrugated iron - to encourage /monitor snakes.
know any Farmer that would bale about 10 acres of rough..and keep the bales in exchange ?
Did you see all those yellow XXXXX on the Fir Trees around the `17th tee...looks like the avenue might be getting opened up soon.
Await captain's report, but with a pathetic score of 82 I know it wasn't Me, Geoff & Bob...
but these guys may have done enough with 106
