Monthly Medal
Chilly start but the temperature soon rose to make it a lovely day. Players needed to make the most of it today as cold air is due to sweep south for the coming weekend bringing the start of winter. Comp was divided into two divisions and although we advertised a £2 entry fee the office only took £1.50 from our accounts. There were 39 entrants with a mixed range of scores. The greens looked good with new growth after the "fracking" exercise but many found the ball wobbled about. Only one `2` was scored with Mark Sanders sinking the putt on the 16th. Congratulations Mark you win the fine sum of £19.50. All nett scores are listed below by division but special note to the winners, Steve Kitcher with an impressive score of 65 for Div.1 and Andy Beale with 70 for Div.2. Prize money was allocated 1st £10, 2nd £6.50, 3rd £3.00. This was the last of the qualifiers until the spring, soon be Christmas!!
