Minehead Interclub Challenge 29/10/2018
We travelled to Minehead today to take part in this annual event, were 8 clubs played a
4BBB, made up of 8 players per team, with all four scores to count, once again we were asked to supply 2 teams (16 players).
The weather was very cold along the Bristol channel coast line, with a strong breeze blowing in our face for the first 9 holes, that’s if you started on the first few holes, as it was a shotgun start.
I’m pleased to say that our two teams did us proud, the best BB
score being 47pts by a Long Sutton pair, followed by 3 on 46pts,
and they were all from CST, with one of our 8-man teams coming
 second overall.

Chris & Peter, Roger & Ian, John, John & John - with Mark.
Great Team effort.

The golf was followed by a 3 course meal which did drag on a bit with 72 seniors to feed, which meant with the clocks just having gone back, it was dark by the time we left for home.

Alan Chance had a 2, and a few of our guys won raffle prizes, I heard from John Wandless and the two guys from Oake, that John Twose was on fire today and putted exceptionally well, I believe he won a couple of bottles on the draw as well, although he did get one thing wrong, as he was about to step into the shower they flooded, so not all perfect.  Stuart Pope played very well, or so he said, the two guys from Minehead said that his handicap must be wrong, I think they meant it’s too high.
