Roll-Up Report 22/10/2018 Individual Medalford

16 early and 36 later starters turned out today in sunny conditions although with a fresh
north westerly wind keeping the temperatures down. The winning score today was 13        by Steve Kitcher who plays off 17 (at present), a total of 7 players kept their score below 20 today, with 2 NRs, no surprize both on the medal half.

Gentlemen please put your proper name on the scorecard, and not a nick name.
don’t assume everyone doing the cards will know who you are, if you did this in a competition you could well find yourself disqualified. Thankyou.

There were 16 birdies today paying £1.62 per player. = Bargery, Stone, King, Barrow, Pope
Spencer-Farr, Gingell, Hone, Agar, Heath, + R. Davis, Kitcher & Hilson who each had two.

Definitely a very busy Roll-Up as Committee Met ahead of AGM to discus 2019 Plans, and AGM Agenda.
Remember, If you have not informed the Secretary then any Topics you wish discussed cannot be accommodated or voted upon.

With 13 at the meeting, we had a wide-range of views on most topics that came up but some great decisions were made, mainly in the area of the 2019 Schedule, a New Seniors Mixed Open, a New Comp called the Foursomes Trophy, New Manager of the Avalon League, New Fixtures Secretary, New Blog Page with 2019 Golf Rules, but you'll have to wait for the Minutes or the AGM

Remember this is just a blog and is not meant to be an official communication, so please do not react to anything here until you've heard it from our leaders.

Then even after 7 hours away from home Bob & Barrie then had to sort out today's results -

Meantime we are in the news again as we have a Guinness World Record Holder in our Midst...and it was a meaningful event - not like some of those silly ones where you see how many people you can cram into Mini.

This was the Crème de la Crème, the Icing on the Cake, a sprinkle of stardust, call it what you will..it will take some licking...

our very own Ronnie Sutherland 'Mr Whirly'

for....

.
..forming a queue of Ice-Cream vans....when 84 Vehicles travelled from all over Europe to Crewe to break the previous record.

...maybe big things are about to happen...

..and Lady Linda.....

I think Ronnie, we have treated your news with the due respect you have come to expect from the Seniors' Blog and we look forward to receiving a big chunk of Ice-cream for the Captain's Dinner raffle on 2nd November.
