Friday 19th October
Cyder Cup Singles
I know some of our Seniors like me were feeding the black cat
at the club, good news is that I have found the owners and reunited them
with Ellie. She comes from Salway Ash and had been missing for 3 months.
The owners asked me to pass on there thanks to all that fed
her
Ray
( I daren't tell Ray, but I saw the cat eating the Robin he has been feeding for 8 Years on the 7th Tee..)
At last, we managed to play a Cyder Cup round in dry sunny
conditions, 22 single matches
were eventually played today, so with the Captain’s team leading after the Foursomes, 7-4, it promised to be a tight affair, wrong the Captains team steamed ahead to a 16 to 6 victory
Thankyou to all who managed to turn out over the week, and I hope you enjoyed our take on the Ryder Cup, and a big thankyou to Nick who spent most of the week juggling players around, as there were so many players who dropped out during the week, don’t worry I’m not going there again.
Thanks again Nick and I hope the Samaritans number

on the day, making it a total winning score of 23 to 10,
sorry Pete but I think that’s a record winning score,
whoops sorry I didn’t mean to mention that.

I gave you was useful.

B. Heath (Captain)
looking at the pictures ( well done Nick)..it's no wonder Des lost to Roger...
Those of us with early starts saw some extremes of the weather as the lowlands were covered in Fog - but 747 feet up on the hill it was beautiful.

Just a few Updates .
Captain's Dinner looks to be up to 56 , which is nice, but with 160 members & Wives / Partners - where are the other 270 of you ?- take a chance, you might even enjoy it. We always used to get 100+ and Barrie is taking it as a personal insult that you all hate him ( although he may not have spoken these actual words).
Thanks for responses for Pie-Night on Wed 24th..just 5 Days away, numbers have increased to 43 which is reaching a very sociable total.
