Scam Warning - poor old Roger Stone has had a frantic few days trying to recover his financial profile.
He was targeted by the Sim Card Scam - where crooks took control of his mobile phone. Basically they picked his number and then proceeded down an elaborate path that involved them informing his phone provider that the phone was lost / damaged. He asked for the PAC number from them to transfer the SIM details to a new phone ( which most people do so they can keep their old number).
Now they used 'other information' that they had on him, say his Bank Account & Sort Code which may have been used during on-line transactions - and contacted the Bank. They told the bank that they had forgotten their password & which number does the Bank Call to verify and sent the new Password - well of course the Number that he has registered with them -so the thieves were sent a new password & off they went trawling around Roger's various accounts, ISAS etc - and moved out  much of his savings via payments to various other accounts .
Roger only knew he was under attack when the Bank contacted him at Home to ask about all the recent activity - and the shock of what had happened sunk in on Roger.

So please do not use Roger's old Mobile Number - he has a new one that I won't publish here but can send you if you require.

I believe Roger's Bank is being very helpful and managing to solve the problems - but it is a SCAM they need to fix pretty quickly.

One other issue that this highlighted was the closure of all the Local Branches - so queuing for 90 Minutes in Yeovil was the final ignominy.

Roll-Up Report 3-Man Stableford (All to Count) 01/10/2018

Just 9 early birds played in the competition, with another two playing the Rolling Stableford,
plus 33 from the late starters. It’s the 1st October today and they had sprinklers going, lets hope we do manage to get some growth on those bare sandy areas, and I see they have started work on the 17th tee.

Scoring was average today for this format with the exception of the winners who came in with 113pts, five ahead of the runners up, no names but one of the winning team came in with 43pts, Frank where are you.

I don’t know if all the teams did two cards (one for checking purposes) today but please try not to hand in both as it can get a bit confusing.

Those of you who have entered the Winter League please now pay your entry fee by putting it in an envelope & posting it in the letter box on the filling cabinet.

There were 19 birdies today, paying £0.36p per player.
