Update from Andy Beale.
Fellow Sea Angler,
I have booked the charter boat for Thursday 4th
October commencing from the quay at Lyme Regis at 0800 hours, our skipper for
the day will be Phil Hodder. Just a bit of housekeeping and helpful advice.
- Be punctual, it’s a long swim if you miss the sailing time;
Late again ! - Bring waterproof and warm clothing and shoes/boots;
- If you need to hire fishing tackle (£5.00), please let Clive or Andy know before Wednesday afternoon
- Bring a packed lunch or order one from a local café by ringing 07710 272245 which will be delivered to the boat
- Bait can be provided at an additional cost of £5.00
- As with all seaborne events the weather is key I will confirm with the skipper Wednesday evening that conditions are suitable for the day if there is a problem I will let everyone know if you give me your contact details.
- The trip will involve travelling a couple of miles off the coast some time spent at anchor hoping to target black sea-bream, other species include skate, mackerel, bass, cod, gurnard, pollock, whiting and may be a surprise or two. It is also possible that we will do a bit of drift fishing targeting plaice and other flat fish.
