Medal off White Tees
Cakes for Wednesday please.....
Also need one more Lady to help at Halfway House from around 12:30 for 2-3 hours please...serving cakes & drinks and chatting to lots of handsome men....
There must be something about a Medal competition played off white tees as only 40 members played today. However, there were some exceptional scores, most notably in Division 1, by the five players at the top of the leader board. In particular, Andrew Chambers and Charles Vane-Percy scored gross 74 and 76 respectively.
Bob Hollingworth in Division
2 deserves special mention as he scored a net 71 including a 10 suitably on the
tenth. There was a queue at the bar when it became known that Keith
Branchflower had a hole in one, but it later transpired that that also was a 10
(the zero had been omitted). Bob Barrow, keeping up his recent run of money
winning victories, wishes it to be known that he was the leading NR.
There were no 2’s today. It
was decided to pay out on birdies, each birdie paying £1.25.
