Wheathill & Canadian Greensomes
So as we head into our Open Week, just a gentle hint about those Raffle Prizes that we rely on so much to boost the Captain's Charity.
Also Cakes for the Halfway House we have a reputation to uphold you know.

Captains Match Report vs Wheathill 31/08/2018
We travelled
to Wheathill today who entertained us very well, with great food, great
weather, and the beer tasted good after what turned to be a hot day.
The course
was not too bad, it’s gradually recovering from the dry weather, so the cracks
are closing although on one hole my ball did disappear down one, their captain
said at one time you could get your arm down then.
No nearest
the pin contest today, perhaps that one for Pete to remember next year.

On the last day of August the elite were involved in a
match away at Wheathill which left 45 seniors to play the Canadian Greensomes
in pleasant sunny conditions. With an
odd number of players the first name out of the draw played in the Monthly
Rolling Stableford – this was Richard Forster who scored 27 points.
Bob Barrow ran the show today doing both the draw and
the results and winning for the second time this week. He did say he was slightly embarrassed. (but only slightly).
It was close at the top with only 0.12 separating the
1st and 2nd.
13 Birdies paid 80p per player per birdie.
