CST Seniors Win the Avalon League

Health Update


Mike Hone arrives at Hospital just 5 Minutes before the Op and no time for anesthetic..but Operation went well to take the slice out of his left elbow.








Header - CST Seniors Avalon team win East Division League Championship.




In our first season in the Seniors Avalon league, CST Seniors secured the league title with a hard fought victory against Mendip Golf Club.












Mendip still had an outside chance of winning the league themselves if they could beat CST 4 -1, and came with a strong and determined team.
Dave Mugridge and George Wallace led out the team and had a comfortable 4 & 3 win, with good golf played by all 4 players.
Roger Hinds and Frank Martin found the opposition too tough, and went down 2 & 1.
But the pairing of Bob Barrow and Roger Stone, who were never in trouble throughout their match, secured the points to win the league by winning 2 & 1.
John Wandless and Ian Griffiths had putting woes and lost 4 & 2.
The stalwarts of the team this season, Chris Gingell and Mark Cording, had a stroll in the sunshine winning 6 & 4
Overall match result CST 3 - 2 Mendip.
CST win the league by 8 points from runners up Long Sutton.
Well done and than you to everybody who played in the team this season, but we are not finished yet, as we have qualified for the semi finals of the Seniors Avalon Rob Ford Trophy to be played in September.
