Seniors Championship Report 10/08/2018

On this mixed day of weather 58 seniors played in the Seniors Championship for the best gross and best nett scores, it was quite different conditions as by the end the ball was not running on the fairways as far and the greens were slower, I’m sure Head greenkeeper Dave was happy though.

Although the scoring was reasonable the weather conditions helped to slow down the

scoring in most cases,















I think there was only one card not entered on the computer, a

certain Stuart Pope, in fairness I haven’t spoken to him yet.

It is imperative that all cards MUST be entered on the computer in ALL Qualifying

Completions. This is important in that failure to enter your card score on the computer

will have a definite adverse effect on the competition, Standard scratch of the day (SSC) It is so important that some people should be chopped more than is indicated and some players would go out on their handicaps. Because the card is a non-return, all cards MUST be entered on the computer. Sorry to repeat the above but we’ll get there, hopefully.

There were 11 NR today.

Only Four 2s today paying out £7.00 per player= B. Heath, B. Marsh, R. Stevens and R. Stone.
