Summer Knockout Round 2
plus Roll-Up
News Update:-
John Wallis reports that the Funeral of Keith Potter will be on Tuesday 7th August at 14:30
Taunton Crematorium.
Family are hoping to hold the 'Wake' up at the Golf Club - but not sure if they have made any contact yet.
From what JW tells me Keith suffered a burst Aortic Aneurism, which was a problem he knew about after being picked up by that Scan we all have - but he was reluctant to undergo the Operation due to his overall Health and the inherent risks. He's had Cancer Surgery ( hence the pictures of his ears) and also had stage 4 Kidney disease, which he rarely spoke about.
Not sure if this will be impacted by our Invitation Day being held on that same Day.
Roll-Up Report
18/07/2018 Medalford
Well that
was an interesting morning, with 22 playing the Summer Knockout and 31 in the
Roll-Up (I think), we started our roll-up about 09:40 but we did do it in the
end despite some seniors thinking it was the end of the world, it was billed as
a designated Knock-out day, with the Roll-Up to follow.
When I did the draw, I said that the Summer
Cup should be sorted between the two opponents and played by the due date as
there are now so many seniors, that doing a roll-up and a separate 2-ball comp
in the summer months is too much on the same morning.
John
hopefully has the results from the Knock-out, so please check the blog.
There were 6 birdies today paying
£2.50 each.=
Barry
Singleton, Roger Davis, Martin Putland & Rod Stevens who had 3 which
included a two on the 12th, I did hear that a seagull may have
picked it up from the 13th tee and dropped it in the hole.,

Humble Apologies to those on the Early Roll-Up who effectively were very Gentlemenly and allowed the Summer KO 2-Balls to play..but they just kept coming and as the time ebbed away we witnessed Phil, Tony, Eric etc drive away...even Ted Bryden shot off but we are not sure why as he had only just arrived...
We'll do it differently next time we Promise.
