Wednesday 11th July
3 Ball Stableford - All to Count
Computer Entry - Qualifier

Quieter Roll-Up today as such a busy Week, I hear the Avalon Team had a great win at home yesterday.

Few shocked faces at the end of today as we gradually sorted out the Computer Entries and it somehow becam a full qualifier with Bert Robinson being slashed from 20 Handicap to 18 with  James Siabi & Ian Housham dropping to 13 & 12 respectively. Robin Flower went the opposite direction as is back on 20.

Poor old Keith Branchmanager took an hour, working with El Cyd to rationalise the Computer.
Some had not entered, others had entered the Mid-week stableford, another was 'Inactive and could not be entered at all (John Wallis) plus the Card we had to DQ as Computer did not match the Cards for 2 players...sorry guys !

9 Birdies, so they were worth 60p each person and the Winners earned £5, £4 & £2 for 1,2 & 3.

Individual scores can be found on the computer. Slow & steady won the day as modest scores of 31, 33 & 37 were enough to win.

Rolling Stableford
Dickie Hall - 35
Bryan Frost - 32
Eric Smallwood 35

It was ironic that Eric was in last Group of Earlies in a 4-ball, followed the whole way round by Dickie & Bryan in a 2-ball - had Eric slipped back & joined them - they would have won the Roll-Up with 102 Points..what amazes me is that the 4-ball never let them play through..but I get in trouble when I ask such questions !!
