42 members played in a
Medalford today in very calm conditions. There were 15 division 1 players
whilst the 27 division 2 members happily subsidised the better players winners
pot.
George Wallace was the clear
winner in Division 1 with a 3 shot margin over the next 5 players who all
scored a net 19. In Division 2 after the
leading 4 players had thought to have been identified, there was drama as it became clear
that Mac Everett’s card had been incorrectly marked. The gross scores were, however, authenticated
by the other members playing in Mac’s group. When the scores had been re-calculated by
the scrutineer in accordance with the rules, Mac came out as a clear winner by
4 shots.
There were 10 birdies each
paying £2.00.
The Captain reminds members
that the Super Seniors Trophy will be played on Wednesday 20th June.
The first group will be starting at 08:10. There will be a gap at about
08:30 for 3 groups to go out in the rollup – a 3 ball Irish Waltz. The second Super Seniors start will be at
08:50. They should be clear by 09:14 for the later starters in the rollup.
Please give priority to those in the Super Seniors Trophy competition.
