Texas Scramble
- FIVE DRIVES PER PERSON
MINIMUM-
HANDICAP 1/6 COMBINED
Any Senior looking out of the bedroom window this morning or hearing the forecast may have been justified in staying under the covers. However, but for a persistent light fog and heavy atmosphere, the day was dry and with a light wind very pleasant. Maybe the early players were put off as only 6 played but 33 souls teamed up for the three man Texas Scramble going out after nine am. Scoring was good with the winners romping in with a net 58.5 helped by, an unheard of, three birdie two's and a par over the four par three holes.
Winnings were allocated per player as follows:- 1st £5 each, 2nd £4 each, 3rd £3 each and 4th £1 each.
The six two's paid £1.08 each.
Due to our inclusion in the second round of the Knighton Heath Cup against Weymouth clashing with our planned away match against Cannington GC on Thursday 7th June we do have a need for some extra players to step forward. Anyone interested in being included please let us know.
Peter Spencer-Farr Vice Capt.
Hundreds turned out for the 2nd Roll-Up with at least 4 groups heading over to the 16th.

Steve Holt played his last game for 'A Week or So' as he goes in for his new Hip on Friday.
..and a rare appearance from John Wallis who was out playing with Nobby.
I'll post other pictures and fill in details later after Pete gets over his DQ and writes the report.
