Captains Match Report vs Long Sutton 17/05/2018 (away)
Our match today was played in glorious sunshine on a decent course one thing I thought was generally better was the rough that had been cut right down making it easier to find your ball, not that I was in the rough much.
Unfortunately we came second but I think it was played in a good spirit and despite the loss
we had a good day, there was one interesting point James forgot his tie and borrowed one from partner Chris and you may have guessed it turned out to be a Long Sutton tie which he had apparently bought with him to leave at the club as he now had no use for it being a true CST member, I did suggest at the dinner that he pay a fine to the charity, come to think of it Chris should do the same for having the tie in the first place.

Joking aside thankyou to all for playing win or lose and for making it an enjoyable day.

Canadian Greensomes Trophy Report 16/05/2018
42 seniors played today in overcast skies and a fresh breeze
blowing plus with the greens firming up we are now having to think weredo we land the ball to stay on the green, with all this the scores were not aslow as I predicted.
Well here we go again, there was a right mix up today with one
player turning up late and missing his tee time, one turning up who had not
entered, David Taylor was the player through no fault of his own lost out and
finished up not having a partner, I know a part of this was mentioned to Syd
but please gentlemen it’s not a normal roll-up you cannot sort these problems
out in the bar or on the 1st tee
surely you must know that it has to be sorted in the pro shop where they had the
master list, if Syd had been made aware someone was spare in time they could
have taken Barry’s place and he would have had to miss out and apologise to his
partner, I could go on but I’ll leave it there for now. Again sorry to David.
One more point we paid £2 today + 50p birdies, but now realizing
how hard up the seniors are you will be credited with a whole £1 each, please
give them a couple of days to sort it.
5 two’s today paying £2.10 per player.

Hmmmmnnnn!!! |
So for you Nature Lovers....I was off to a Garden Party straight after the Golf in a secret Tatworth location and one guest spotted an unusual thing attached to a Tree in the Garden.
A woven silk cocoon that we think belongs to the Oak processionary moth...anyone got knowledge in this Area ?
If it is this Moth it is very bad for human health if you research it on the Internet...any advice ??
