Seniors Match Report Home Game versus Wheathill G.C.

The usual format of play, six pairings of 4 ball better ball
was played today in warm sunshine. Bryan Frost played in his heavy coat until
the cold wind had dissipated and then put in a sparkling performance; if he had
been supported by a half decent partner then he would have surely triumphed.
Barry Singleton and Nobby Hodder held their own before succumbing late on.
However the rest of the team delivered a fine win. Dave Mugridge deserves a
special mention winning his game whilst giving one of his opponents nineteen
shots, playing a round in a score close to par.
The two course meal of meat pie and fruit crumble was very
acceptable and judging from the ambiance went down very well with the Wheathill
players. Their home game with us was one of the casualties of the weather
earlier in the year and they hoped to have that game rearranged if possible.

was Chris Gingell winning the bottle of wine.
