Fun in the Sun

AT LAST the sun shone, short shorts sprouted everywhere and smiles returned. The balcony after the round was utilised and a management sign was immediately put up to limit numbers of people on board to sixty. This equates to 75 Bill Hilsons or 45 Bob Barrows.....
The course was still wet and boggy in places but already shows signs of recovery. However , the area to the right of the 12th fairway should be designated a golf ball grave yard.
Today's competition was a 2 from 3 yellow ball. Fourteen teams of three played and seven teams suffered the agonising bereavment of not returning home with their yellow ball and therefore not getting the additional five points on offer.
There were 7 birdies each paying £1 per team player. The first prize was £5 each player, 2nd £4 each, 3rd £3 each and 4th £2 each.
