Wednesday 21st March
'Mates Day'

Roll-Up report Wednesday 21st March 2018 Mates Day

The 8 early birds decided to play the 4Ball Individual Medalford today, although I had made it Mates Day because of the course maintenance and not too sure about the state of the course this wasn’t a real problem, but it did mean we had two separate games today.

As none of the early birds had a birdy I have included that money into their winnings.

The late starters played a 2 from 3 Stableford, and as there were 12 birdies which would have only paid 36p each it was agreed by the seniors in the bar that it would go to the Captain’s Charity, again thank you for that. No arm twisting honest.

John managed to take a few interesting photo’s as always, which you can see with this report.

A big welcome to another new senior member today, Roger Hinds who plays off 9 and has moved down from Norfolk, it like it didn’t take him long to win some money.

B. Heath (Captain)

Few Things going on, saw Des Denning in Pro Shop looking to arrange to start back hitting a few balls, but aware that his right-knee is still awaiting replacement, so he taking it easy.

One of our Members foolishly went to visit John Wallis and asked him for his Seniors Subs....and just look at the result...

Do you recognise who it is ?

Ray G informs us that   Ronald (Ronnie) Huish passed away. Ronnie has been a member since the 70's,  he played with Ben and John in between the seniors 2 sections .

Not much doubt about today's Winners with an excellent 91 Points.
Close behind was new man Roger ( 9 Handicap) - from Norwich but now resident in Dowlish Wake.
Lowest Team Today was a Big Surprise

Greenkeepers busy everywhere.

For those that are new to CST Seniors. The little 'Seniors Card' that you got when paying your £3 Subs, lists all of the 'Qualifiers' for the Season. To Enter these Qualifiers you need to get your name on the Entry Sheet on the Notice Board. Tick Early if you want to go out between 08:00 and 09:00. A week or so before, the Captain will do a random draw and allocate Tee-Times...what could be simpler.
Below is the First one for Wednesday Week. If you are not in the Qualifier you will be unlikely to be able to get a tee-slot with the Seniors as with 160 Members, they will always be filled. These Scores will always be entered on the Computer and form part of your Handicap Record.

Also on the Notice Board is the Entry Sheet for Round 2 of the Challenge Cup.

Humble apologies to Billy H for picking on him twice today. 1 Pint per Picture owed.

Picture on Polaroid is Keith Potter who has had nasal surgery to remove a couple of dodgy lumps, which gave him a couple of 'shiners'
