General Update
Just met Mr & Mrs Wallis in Town and John looked a Million Dollars and very sprightly.
Not too happy to see the dreaded Camera though...
Captains Match Report vs Bridport (away)
22/03/2018
After a good
hard fought draw at Axe Cliff last week we came back to earth with a bang today
losing 4 ½ to 1 ½ but hopefully everybody enjoyed the day which was played in
dry but windy conditions and with no a sign of mud anywhere.
Nearest the
pin on the 6th was won by John Wandless who received a bottle of
wine.
Our next game is away to Wheathill on April 5th
look out for the availability sheet on the notice board in the next few days,
I’d like to see a few new names down, why not give a team friendly game a go,
we all like to win but it is good fun played with other seniors around the
area.

Not too happy to see the dreaded Camera though...
Morning all, hope you are all enjoying the improved weather as the Captain heads off to Bridport with another crack team, and hopefully wearing their new Team Shirts - Peter S-Farr still has a few left for sale.
Did you notice Craig the Chef up there yesterday ?- just 22 Years old and now sporting a pace-maker
..I felt obliged to tell him off as he is not Eligible to become a Senior for 33 Years and we have the exclusive rights on spare body-parts.
I have to be faithful to the Club and remind you of the Club Captain's EASTER BINGO up there on Friday Night at 19:00 including Grub - see Alex's Newsletter for full details.
Plenty of special Deals.
But if you are still free on Friday, may I invite you to visit Manor Court Scouts in Chard.
This Friday at 19:00 they are holding an old fashioned Beetle Drive, with BBQ, Raffle, Coffee & Cakes etc to raise money for their Trip to Kenya where my Grandson Michael Bowditch, with 2 other Young Leaders hope to vist & work on local projects in 2019.
My Daughter Cathy is Leader and I am a helper and go to Camps etc. Michael was a Windwhistle Junior for a while and plays with me up there occasionally. Not sure if he enjoyed our last outing.
It is easy to find in Bonds Close, just off Thorndun Park Drive - shares car park with Chard Bowling Club - TA20 1ED - It's an easy walk for many of you
I have to take a few raffle Prizes, but I'll gladly buy you tickets if that's easier - but really we would love to see you in person, even if you just dropped in to say hello - and meet some of the local area Children that still care enough to follow the Scouting Code - they are great fun.
Thanks to Billy who has sent me a £5 donation as he enjoyed yesterday's Blog so much - a true professional Sportsman.
Apologies to the Captain for this unauthorised begging letter !
