Roll-up report Monday 12th
March 2018
3-Ball Texas Scramble 2-Drives Each (9 holes)
18 seniors played today 6 early birds and 12 late starters,
after some heavy overnight rain
I think...
we can be pleased to be out on the course even if it was only 9-holes let’s keep our fingers crossed for Wednesday or our March Hare might turn into an April Bunny. By the way an updated list for Wednesday should now be on the blog + on the notice board & in the pro shop, as you will see there is a slot for a team at 08:50 please let Barrie Heath know of any additions/deletions.

The bell rang and Round II commenced.
George & John from the earlies sped around but did not compete.
With Mick & Keith withdrawing after their 9-Hole outing that left just 6 to compete again for the real money.
Farmer Bob with Roger & Ian took on the might of Frankie, JKP & Mike Hone.
Frank rushed to the Tee to get ahead and took on the corner..which looked very tempting..
but luckily he Team mates were more sensible and managed a Birdie on the First. This was followed by 5 Pars and then 2 Birdies.
Farmer Bob & Co had a slower start but birdied 3,4 & 5 but the rest were Pars.
So both Teams went round in 3 Under Par so it was to the cards we went to check the handicaps. Frank looked at John, John looked at Mike who completed the Circle..no-one had done a card...in the corner, Farmer Bob sat licking his lips, egged on by BIM.
Frank hurredly made out card..but Bob was not having it..
Finger pointing started in the Martin Team...
& I bought you a flipping Kit-Kat as you were
working so hard....or so I though !
