March Hare 4BBB
60 seniors played today in dry (almost for everybody) but
very windy conditions with buggies , at last able to have an outing, by the
time we all got away the start sheet looked like a disaster area with 6 people
turning up on chance or didn’t know what was on and about six just didn’t turn
up, a big thanks mostly to John for keeping on top of it.
The result & money pay-out is as always listed below
& the winners will have their trophy presented at the AGM in November.
The Captain’s Charity Foursomes on Friday weather permitting
will be drawn on the morning, we will do our best to keep it as listed on the
schedule, 1-18hc or under, with 1-19hc or over, there will be the usual birdy comp
+ a small prize for the winner and the rest will go to the Captains Charity Clic
Sargent fight for young lives vs cancer.
13 birdies today paying £1.17 per player.

B. Heath (Captain)
Welcome back to Gordon Hughes who has been unable to play since the Buggy-Ban, a long hard Winter but he must have gotten plenty of Jobs done.Keith Reports that John Wallis is on the mend, back home and in a tough physio routine, walking his Dog around his back garden.
Well done to Captain & Farmer Bob for processing all those cards as 7 of them were different to the start list due to unavailability.
Terror Reports abounded as we heard of Captain George and the Jolly Roger hitting 25 on the front 9 when most of us were struggling in the Wind.
a more human 20 on the return saw them set a high target..but thankfully Farmer Bob was able to snip one from the total to 44. They had carded a 45, but the scrutineer spotted a 5 for 2 against Jolly Roger..when he does not get a shot on the 18th hole...but Captain George had picked up his ball, 1 foot from the hole as " You've got the Two" issued from his Lips...Oops !
Well done Nick & Bob who only played together as no-one else would have them...they even blobbed one hole in their quest for Victory.

As I got home I read Bert's Chard & Ilminster Headlines
"Rees trio leaves it late to take the Win"
and here he is again on a good run.

Roger was supporting one of the new Competition Shirts.
|
We await the Captains Report but scores seen already ranged from 25 to 44 .

As Pete 3-Names was flogging even more at £30 Each.
