The domestic handicaps of the winners will be cut by 2 shots and 1 shot for the runners up.

Nick George played the March Rolling Stableford and scored 30 points.

In these events where it is not mandatory for everyone to putt out, please pick up your ball if your score is not necessary and move on. In addition, when you have completed your round, please get your card to the scrutineer as soon as possible. It is a major task and we are indebted to Bob Barrow for doing this at every rollup and it is very frustrating having to wait to examine cards.

On Friday, it is the Captains Charity match and will be a Greensomes. The rule that you must have a high handicapper (19 and above) and a low handicapper will be relaxed if you have not already entered. If you still wish to play, you will be paired with another member. In the event that both handicaps are above 18, the lower of the two will play off 18. There will be alcoholic prizes.

Following today’s rollup, a committee meeting was held to discuss progress on a number of issues ranging from publicity for Open competitions, Masters Weekend, Invitation Match on the 9th August, Summer Barbeque, Inter club Matches, Challenge Cup arrangements, Other Competitions, Lessons learnt from Winter League etc.

It was agreed at the meeting to discontinue the dispensation given to Seniors with immediate effect to pick, clean and drop in the rough.

The Captain has a number of Vouchers for 4 people to play at various courses which were kindly obtained by Ray Gudge. I am willing to accept bids for these but not less than £40.00 each (good value for 4 people). The vouchers are from :

1.     St Austell Brewery entitling the holder to a round at one of the following : Boringdon, Bowood, Bude, China Fleet, Dartmouth, Elfordleigh, Mullion, Thurlestone, Trethorne, Trevose, Truro, or Woodbury.

2.     Stover Golf Club

3.     Dorset Golf and Country Club.

Please dig deep. All proceeds to Alzheimers Research UK.
