Cricket St Thomas Seniors 2

Bowmaker – 2^nd December 2015

Played in somewhat testing conditions with a blustery wind, 11 teams of three competed in a Bowmaker with one to score on holes 1-6, two to score on 7-12 and three to score on 13-18.

During the examination of the score cards, it was recognised that Stuart Pope’s team had recorded an incorrect score and had signed for that incorrect score. This was referred to the Club Professional who pronounced that the team should be disqualified and this was graciously accepted by the Club Captain who was part of Stuart’s team.

This had the effect of elevating Phil Hunt (serial money winner) and his team into the much sought after 3^rd place, thus taking money and not suffering a cut in handicap.

The usual handicap cuts apply, 2 shots for the winners and 1 shot to the runners up from next Monday.

Please note that the Captains' drive in will be on Saturday 23^rd January 2016 and not as shown on the fixture list.

Bob White was presented with his large bottle of Scotch from the November Raffle.

It is also proposed that following the success of last year event, a Burns Lunch will be held on Monday 25^th January for Seniors and their partners. A list will be put up on the notice board. John McPearce will perform his Gaelic recitation - but do we have a Piper out there anywhere ?
