Turkey Trot (Medal) 11th

It was a day of four seasons
although Autumn predominated. It was also a day of “almosts”. Bob White almost
came third but forgot to sign his card. Norman Markby scored a two and almost
got a 13 but got away with a 12. Bryan Frost cursed his luck that the rains
came when he was on the 17th and 18th. He reckoned it
cost him two shots but he still won Division 2 by 4 shots.
Birthday Boy Bob Barrow (73 Today) was dreaming
about his birthday cake and slipped to an unfamiliar 16th place in
Division 1 which was won unsurprisingly by Danny Dowell whose super card did
not include a six.
Several members did not enter
their scores into the computer. In future, will these members please enter
their score into the machine. Even if your score embarrasses you, or you are unlikely to win, it will make a
difference to everyone else’s handicap. The importance of this will be
explained in some detail by Liam at the AGM on Friday.
