Thursday 22nd -
Don't often go up there on Thursday but it's Half-Term so I was on Granddad Duty and ended up in a fierce Matchplay against Nobby & Bryan - got stuffed 5&4 which included about 6 20ft plus putts by one or other of them, including 18th where Brian putted in from off the Green.
Bryan was in his finest 'Northern Humour form' as he recounted a Leon Spinks Boxing Match. Spinks went to the corner after 3 rounds and his trainer said 'You're doing great Man, he's hardly laid a glove on you', to which Spinks replied, through a half-open eye, "Well you'd better keep an eye on the Ref, cos some bas***ds hitting me !"
Alan D was up there practicing as he has been invited to play with the Eggs, Alan Chance was also hitting a few balls. Keith was out with Nick Clarke, another potential Senior.
Deano is going great guns in the locker room as it is being ripped apart for new lighting, suspended ceiling, new floor covering etc - so once again all the Notice Boards are down from the walls.
Heard a snippet about Dog-Leg in 18th with 2 new fairway bunkers as extended tee will be brought into play.
Liam took delivery of 10,000 new Score Cards so I'm sure he would appreciate every Senior making some comment about paper-ones and how we miss them !

Monday 20th - Texas Scramble but with a bit of Drizzely Mizzery... NO BUGGIES......but we are sure to give it a go...
