Cyder Cup Round 2 – 4BBB 7th

After the disappointment of
last Monday’s Foursomes which were rained off, today’s 4BBB matches were
greatly anticipated. It was decided not to call upon the Pools Panel to decide
the Foursomes results and a gentlemanly half was agreed. So it was all to play
for today.
The Captain and Vice Captain
played the first match and after an hour the Vice Captain’s pairing with Paul
England found themselves three up after 5 holes. The Captain and his partner
Barry Singleton gradually closed the gap until it was level on the 15th.
The captain then showed his class and won two of the remaining 3 holes.
This was the Captain’s last
win until the 8th match. The teams ended 2½ - 6½ in favour of the
Vice Captain going into Friday’s singles.

The winner of the September
Rolling Stableford was Jerry Stephens who wins £9.00.
