Worthy winners with 75 points Ray Gudge, Tony Stenhouse and Clive Fisk held off the last-in challenge from Bob Hollingsworth, Mike Hone and Brian Anderson on the slimmest of margins – a one point lead on the back nine count-back.
Both Ray and Clive had an exceptional round – Ray scoring 39 points on 16 holes while Clive scored 41 points on just 15 holes! These scores were before discard.
Third home with 71 points were John Wallis, Ian Rowland and Bim Morfitt.
In all nine birdies were recorded: two each to Wallis/Rowland/Morfitt; Walgrove/Paoloni/Bareham; Bryden/Singleton/Frost and White/Basterfield/Pearce plus just the one to Hollingsworth/Hone/Anderson.
