Great back 9 by John Evans , with a Gross 34, netting 23 Points - earning him a 1 shot cut in his Handicap Index.

Nick Gabb lipped out about 4 times on front 9, but opened a fresh pack of Capstan full strength on the run for home and looked more like his old self - through the smoke. He too was cut 0.6

Other cuts were Bob Dennett - 0.7; Martin Leigh 0.4; Chicken Farmer 0.7; Norman 0.5; 

..but those earning increases were Danny who went up 0.5 despite an adjusted Gross of 70 !

Pearce +0.5; Kaptain +0.2; Roger Davis + 0.5

Summer KO advanced with Kitcher / Mugridge knocking off  Barrow / Stone 3 &2

They now face Dowell/Wandless ( in the Semi-Final) who are still recovering from their squeaky win over Sweet William - those 50 shots still keep Danny awake.

In the top half of the Drawer - we await last Quarter Final twixt Hilson/Branchflower & Gardener/Hoe  which is booked for Friday 1st Aug at 08:48

Their fate, if they win,  is to face Gordon & David  in the Semis, the politest pairing still standing.

In The Singles...The Semi-Finals are set up after Nick Patten  had to hang on by his fingernails to get past Mark Kilpatrick yesterday  2 & 1.

We passed opponents of Captain James T Lauchlan who had sliced drive on 7th to 17th Fairway. His name was Dave and used to be a member here when 8,9,10 were in play. He hit a lob wedge over the tall trees as it landed like a Sh***ad Dr*ne in heart of the green - and we thought 'Jim's in trouble here'.

Great showing by Seniors Teams - 

KB & Co, with a Bogey on 15th costing them  the Victory.by 0.0007  

CB & his Team were 4 or 5 ahead of the field after 9 Holes with a Gross 30, but fell away.

 JB dropped not a single shot, but their lower handicap allowance slid them down..

BB four had as many bogies as they had players, which is always fatal in a Scramble.

NB Keefhunt joined the Wednesday Team Winners, but they were too conservative on front 9.

The Superstars in Aaron CraBB's team ( a plus 1 handicap) - were cruising with 5 Birdies on front 9- but it just never happened on the run for home.
