Charity clarification

James Lauchlan

It was pointed out to me this morning senior golfers think the raffle I run is for the seniors coffers and because there's 5k in the bank they do not take part. The raffle is to raise funds for Devon air ambulance service. If you still don't want to participate that's OK. But remember you might need that charity to come and save your life on the golf course. Please give generously. And help this worthy cause. And who knows like many golfers before you could be the winner of a great prize or two

The Treasurer aims to retain a minimum balance of 3,000 to cover contingencies. This balance grows during the year through fund raising and any amount above £3k at the AGM goes to the Captain's Charity or Charities.

Thursday at Sidmouth - from Barrie Heath

Tiz yon Barrier Heath...thinks it's flipping Glastonbury...
Note from Sidmouth Captain. Just to let you know, Thursday is the last day of the Folk Festival in Sidmouth so the traffic could be busier than usual.

Please note below if you are playing at Sidmouth on Thursday. there will be a choice of main course of either:-

Traditional Lasagne with the trimmings

Cottage Pie with Broccoli, Carrots and Peas

,Veggie option - Sweet Potato and Butternut Squash Lasagne

Followed by Sticky Toffee pudding for dessert.

I would be grateful if you could advise me beforehand if anyone would like the Veggie option otherwise the main course will be selected prior to going out to play.

Should anyone like to have a bacon bap prior to going out to play these would be available at a special price of only £3 each.

The dress code for dinner will be smart casual but not what you played golf in or shorts.

First tee time 13:00 hrs.
