It's my WA so staying at home with the Wife as too hot to do anything else.  Just had a call from Dickie Hall, & Jenny. Out in their new Mercedes, trying out all the voice functions and Navigation tools - so currently stuck in  a Traffic Jam near Matlock, after requesting a route to Martock - easy mistake. So whilst sitting there, he told to system to "Call Jenny Hall" - and was surprised when Mrs Jagger answered. After exchanging pleasantries he tried again and got Jethro Tull - and finally he got through to me..so work to be done there I think.

Anyway I enquired about their health and got quite a story from Dickie, although he did sound quite cheerful & positive. He is undergoing experimental treatments for both his Prostate and Bone cancer - then out of the blue contracted Polymyalgia Rheumatica  (PMR)  - which is the same virus that knocked me out for a couple of years - so it's mega-steroids added to his Pharmacy shopping list - which does give instant relief for all the aches & pains...and the finger - that has disappeared from his worry list.   He feels like he could manage some golf, so is looking to play a few holes with someone in between his many trips to Musgrove every week.

JKP back from Travels, apols for lack of Blog nonsense, as Chris G takes care of business.

Thurs Friendly:-

Team Captain Ian Hildred reports :

Thank you to those who took part on yesterday's friendly match at home to Weymouth.  A good 4.5 to 1.5 win.  Particular congratulations to Jim L for his 48 point equivalent stableford score, excellent golf...!! - and a great pairing with Roger Davis.   Full result details hopefully on blog later.

Sweet revenge for our heavy defeat down at the seaside Town in April

Blog Comment - Love the way the InterClub Friendlies are working this Year as Captain John Wandless uses his pool of 'Match Captains' to organise these events. It shows us that through innovation, being Seniors Captain does not have to dominate your life.

Anyone got the full result?- so we can post here...

Meanwhile 168 others descended on Long Sutton - 42 Teams of 4 and a pretty astounding result...

Every Single Hole was Birdied by one Team or another - except the five Par 5 Holes - which were all Eagled !!!
