Shot gun start at 9.30am
Hole Sponsorship will be put up on the noticeboard. Suggested minimum is £20 but any sum will be gratefully accepted
Donations of cakes, bakery items for the halfway house will be welcome as well as items for the raffle.

Lobby for Nobby Day
Roll Up will be a Texas Scramble to raise funds to buy a Nobby memorial bench to be sited on the course. The Main Club will be doing the same on Saturday with the Nobby Hodder Stableford.
Entry Fee will go towards this bench, but you can still cash-in by winning the 2's sweep. Of course other donations would be welcome to improve on the version we can currently afford...

| Richard Holmes & Stephen Sutcliffe dispatch the tricky Hussey/Asquith pairing to advance to Quarter Finals, winning 2 Up Canadian Greensomes - Point of discussion Now I agree with PSF on this one, but seem to be in a minority. Our Rules Say :-Both players drive off and play their second shots, then select which ball to take then continue to play alternate shots to complete the hole. Now consider this scenario. Player A Drives, ball is unplayable, takes a penalty drop. Q - Who plays the next shot with that ball ? To my mind Player A takes it as he has not yet " played his 2nd Shot" If this ball is then chosen for the Teams 3rd Shot , Player B would be playing 4 as it now carries the penalty. It confuses the situation if Player B affects this decision as he must play 2 shots before and decision is made. |
