Bugger...I loves a good scramble...

Notable absentee yesterday...Jolly Roger - who could not play despite buggies being back on. Apparently tripped over his boot laces whilst undertaking trip to local shop to buy Rum, baccy etc
Resulted in several leg/wrist/eye injuries . Thanks to Farmer Bob for giving accurate details.

Vice Captains gets clarification from Pro-Shop:-

The ropes and spikes around the green are immovable obstructions, you get free relief if they interfere with your swing or stance.

Upon hitting one, there is no relief. You must play the next shot from where it finishes.

Remember - this is Free Relief - you cannot take it further back, replay shot  etc - which is relief available when you take a Penalty Drop,

Note for Chris G - 2 x 2 Ball Scrambles are maybe not best option for a busy Friday as we took well over 4 hours..and there was quite a queue of other members building up behind us.  We were not playing well but always up behind team ahead - but by way of example - on 4th hole  a 4 ball scramble would probably have 16 strokes if the last man holed out for a Par - whereas we took 12 Shots for Team A and 14 Shots for team B who carded a 7 - which is 26 Strokes.

142 Holes were above Par - not one single team was bogey free. Even Middle  Ranked Team had 11 Bogeys. Last year's Captain had double Bogey.

Couldn't find a 4 ball Seniors Scramble to compare, but last 3-ball scramble had just 30 Bogeys.
