Friday 20th September 2020 Foursomes Trophy

Last Chance for this beautiful Hamper...

Several bids in already, so it will take £40 plus to steal it at that price, as Dickie says it's great value. Why not buy it and give to a good cause in your area - maybe you have someone in a care Home etc ..think of the smiles you would bring for a small expenditure..go on you know it makes Cents !

Monday 21st September 3 man Stableford – All to count

Nick Hill has agreed to “organise” the competition on Monday. There are only 10 tee times reserved, 3 for the EGGS (07:46, 07:54 and 08:04). A further 7 starts have been reserved for the latecomers starting at 08:10. Nick will arrive at 08:00 to do a random draw. If you intend to play, please arrive by 08:00 to be included in the random draw. I notice that one group has already taken the 08:58 slot. I assume that if they wish to play together that they do not want to be included in the competition. Entry is £1:00 plus optional 50p for birdies.

Foursomes Trophy

Notice for next week’s programme

Next week we have a match on Monday against Dorset on Monday and all those who normally organise events or cover up for the captain and vice-captain are  involved. So someone amongst those who turn up has to take control and organise Monday’s 3 ball stableford all to count game. We have 10 tee times block booked for the day from 8:10 onwards

For next Wednesday anyone who wants to participate in 3 ball 1 to count stableford please turn up between 8:20 and 8:35. We have 13 tee times block booked for the day with the first tee at 8:34

Friday is a 3-Ball Scramble -JW has set up on Club Diary Page so individuals can now enter and teams can then be drawn on Thursday to avoid a large gathering...but we are all hanging on Boris's expected announcement on Tuesday. Nice work Mr Wandless, thanks.

Today’s Foursomes Trophy was the last of the charity events with 28 seniors taking part. I think all the good golf was played in yesterday’s main charity even as only one pair managed a par round with no one managing a single 2’s or birdies. It seems that the participants had already decided to donate the money to captain’s charity and not register their 2’s or birdies on their cards.  So a total of £42 of today’s entry is to go to our nominated charity. The total sum raised this week will be published in my next report once we have added all the donations and collections. Thank you very much for your help with the events and your generous donations.

Congratulations to this year’s winners of The Foursomes Trophy Norman and Nick. Well done you two.
