Morning All
Sorry for delay in posting yesterday’s results. I
personally blame my playing partner Ted Bryden who constantly was told hit the
3 slow players ahead of us, ignored the command and instead hit me on the 14th
with a precision shot. Having sheltered myself behind a tree only a bit of my
leg hanging out he managed to wack it hard from 40 yards. A straight hit and
then he approached me while I was sitting down asking if his shot went over the
trees.
Yet another well attended event with 65 seniors
participating in Monday’s qualifier. A mix bag of scores, some very good scores and some not too clever. Average scores for division 1 was 34.05, division 2 was 31.7 and division 3 on the low side 29
points. I think we should all learn from Roger Davis when playing a round he
keeps telling everyone that the 18th is his boggy hole only to par
it or better. He must have told himself that every hole was his boggy hole to
come up with a score of net 8 under par. I didn’t quite work for me as I told
my playing partner Andy that I normally shank on the 7th, 8th
and 11th and that is what I exactly did. Need to seek advice from
Roger on how to say it and then do the opposite. Well done to the winners
