Reverse Waltz 3,2,1
Good turnout today seeing 14 teams of three playing a Bowmaker leaving two extra players
to compete in November's rolling stableford. Apart from a few showers the day was warm
and sunny with the greens soft and very receptive. One team again was unfortunately
disqualified for only putting down their stableford scores with no gross scores. How can the
scrutineer check the card if no gross scores are recorded? On the other hand cards, with wrong
stableford numbers shown, will never be cut as long as the gross scores are entered correctly
i.e. Bob B would make the adjustments without penalty. Took time to spell this out as we have
had a number of problems this year all of which could have been avoided.
Plenty of birdies today which paid 70p each team member. The winners got off to a very
slow start but scored 44 points on the back nine to sneak it.
