4Ball betterball
A very good turnout today of 45 golfers, with 22 pairs and Alastair Purcell playing in the rolling stableford. The competition was a 4 ball betterball and most pairs returned competitive cards. The course played well and has dried out considerably, especially given how wet it was on Wednesday.
Winning with a score of:-
44 points was Bert Robinson and David Asquith £7.00 each
2nd with 42 points on count back was John Evans and Bob White £6.00 each
3rd also on 42 Martin Bargery and Ian Fielder £5.00 each
4th on 41 again on back nine Richard Forster and Alan Chance £4.00 each
6 pairs returned 2's and receive £1.80 each; Dave Taylor & Phil Dewar; Brian Marsh & Eric Smallwood; Chris Andrews & Norman Markby; Richard Forster & Alan Chance; Martin Bargery & Ian Fielder; Chris Hiam & Barrie Heath with congratulations to them.
