Roll-Up report
Friday 6th April 2018 Canadian Greensomes
18 early birds and 32 late starters turned out today in dry but with an ever increasing wind,
two teams had non-returns one being as Brian Hodder was taken ill and was eventually taken away by ambulance.
We wish you well Brian whilst we await news.
The notice board is pretty full at present and should be now for most of the year so please keep checking
One sheet on there is for a Summer Knockout Comp run by Richard Forster,
it’s a singles matchplay off full handicap so get your name down and give it a go.
Those playing in the match on Monday please keep an eye on the blog over the weekend
it won’t take much rain for it to be cancelled, I have to inform Sidmouth Sunday latest.

B Heath (Captain)

Ian Fielder was feeling depressed as he and his dodgy partner had made a 12 on the 4th hole..until he passed Martyn Putland & Phil..who said they also had a 12 on the 1st Hole.

Farmer Bob on way to 99 as Billy gives him tricky chip to 12th

5.5 Inches from a Hole-in-One which would have been costly on a busy Friday

I felt really guilty when I saw Brian Hodder being attended to by the Ambulance after collapsing on 14th with Vic, Geoff & Mac Everett.
We had tried to expedite the Draw when so many turned up and asked the 'Buggy Brigade' to go out first before the Draw.  25 Minutes later they were still there as Brian rolled-Up about 09:15 and was severely nagged ( mostly by me I'm afraid).
He managed 13 Holes but Vic says he wasn't 100% the whole way round, so he left them on 14th.
Jackie, CSTBOSS then found him rolling around on the floor by his Car, trying to secure his buggy and the Ambulance was summonsed. Denise was great looking after him as they tried to stabilise him in the Ambulance but finally tried to take him into Chard. I helped him into the Ambulance and he could walk & talk, but seemed a little 'away with the Fairies'.
