With the weather being as unreliable as ever these days only
6 early birds and 20 late starters played today and the early one’s started in
mist that threatened to delay or cancel the event, we then had showers which
just stays on the already drenched surface.
I must thank all those who did make the effort to play today
and for their generosity in donating all
the winnings £39.50 + two bottles of wine which Peter S F & myself bought up for the winners to my charity Clic Sargent. The wine will go as raffle prizes for one of the draws later.

Unfortunately, again one team was DQ for signing a wrong
card, yes I think most of us have done it at some point. They had a 5 on the 10th
hole but the marker wrote down a 4 as we have to accept the gross score on the
card they had to be DQ, this should be a warning to all of us you may have the
correct stableford or medal points/score on the card but you can still be DQ if
the gross score is wrong.
The Challenge Cup on the 29th please bear with us
as Norman is back on Tuesday and he will publish the start sheet then, you will
then be able to check your time + anyone who could not play on the first date
will be able to add their name to it depending on numbers.
